WTA Championships: Kvitova Dominated Wozniacki - Petra Kvitova beats the top-ranked Caroline Wozniacki at the WTA Championships on Thursday, October 27, 2011, winning 6-4, 6-2 to hand the Dane her second loss at the season-ending WTA tournament.

Kvitova has an early break she earned in the first set and never looked troubled the rest of the way, hitting 36 victories compared to six of Wozniacki, who never earned a break.

The Czech Wimbledon champion broke two more times in the second set before clinching the victory with a backhand winner.

Kvitova has improved her game record to 2-0 win in the round-robin section, while Wozniacki fell into 1-2 after losing to Vera Zvonareva on Wednesday. 

Earlier Thursday, Victoria Azarenka became the first player proceeds for the semifinals after a comfortable 6-2, 6-2 win over Li Na. Azarenka followed her win over U.S. Open champion Sam Stosur with a victory by the same scoreline over Li, the French Open winner.
